We take care of your dental problem however big or small.
Healthy teeth and gums mean better overall oral health. However, you need to visit your dentist every six months to maintain a healthy smile. But sometimes life happens, and it’s been a year since you last saw your dentist! However big or small your problem is, you can always schedule a visit at Adams Ave Dental. Our general dental services help prevent, detect and treat dental health problems and address your concerns!
FILLINGS
Fillings are done to remove decay and replace the affected area (a hole that the decay left) with a tooth-colored filling material. Tooth decays can be treated easily and painlessly if caught early on. If left untreated, it can lead to pain and infection! Bonding
Bonding is also done to repair decayed teeth, alter their alignment, or close the gap between teeth. This is done using a composite (tooth-colored filling material). The color of the composite is matched to the color of your teeth!
Sealants
Narrow grooves and pits on the tooth are hard to clean areas. Because they are too narrow, the bristles of your toothbrush cannot clean them. Sealants fill these narrow grooves.
The procedure is simple, where a coating of sealant is brushed on the grooves and pits of your teeth. This procedure seals the grooves and can help prevent decay but you still need to visit us once in a while to check if your fillings and sealants are intact!
Non-Surgical Gum Treatment
Bleeding gums, persistent bad breath, gums that are pulled away from the tooth, loose teeth, and changes in the position or bite of the teeth may indicate gum disease. With proper care, however, it may be possible to return them to a healthy state.
This is where appropriate gum treatments come in. If you’re having a problem, come in and see us so we can take care of it right away.
X-Rays
X-rays are a necessary part of the diagnostic process. Without an X-ray of the whole tooth, supporting bone and gum tissues, there is no real way to detect an infection that may require immediate attention.
At Adams Ave Dental, we use digital radiography which allows us to take X-rays using 50-70% less radiation versus conventional film X-rays.
We also offer Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT Scan). This is a special type of X-ray some medical and dental offices use to produce three-dimensional (3-D) images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and bone in a single scan. It is used when regular dental X-rays are not sufficient.
IMPORTANT: Let our dental team and dentists know if there is any chance you are pregnant or have any medical conditions that may limit your exposure from X-ray.
